The Fujiwara Maboroshi Santoku combines the best of a Gyuto and a traditional chef's knife in one powerful and versatile design. Thanks to its wide blade, this knife feels perfectly at home in the kitchen — from vegetables and herbs to meat and fish. The name Santoku literally stands for the "three virtues": meat, fish, and vegetables.

The Maboroshi series is undoubtedly one of Teruyasu Fujiwara's most beloved lines. Not because of perfect factory finishing or slick marketing talk… but because of pure performance. These are knives for people who truly love to cut.

The blade has a sanmai construction with a core of Shirogami #1 carbon steel, sandwiched between rust-resistant outer layers. This famous White Paper Steel from Hitachi is world-renowned for its extreme sharpness, aggressive cutting feel, and fantastic sharpening properties.
